The Dream Team: Kathy Crane and David Weise are the design and install partnership who provide expert native plant garden consultation services and can plan and plant your native garden.
Our team is comprised of Yerba Buena Nursery owner and native plant specialist Kathy Crane, and hardscape designer and master native plant installer David Weise. Together, we have over 30 years combined experience with native plants and design/artistry training.
"People with such immense knowledge of native plants and how to incorporate then into a satisfying blend of natural layout
and the needs of a "yard" are rare." - Mathew and Minx, Stanford, California
No Two Gardens Are Alike
Here are some of the Requests from our Clients:
"I appreciate your wanting to incorporate my Dog into the design as well, since he's definitely my family and will be utilizing the garden probably even more than I will. Selecting plants that will withstand his well, footprints and various other needs has made this project even more special."
Wendy & (woof) Wyatt, Foster City
Communication and listening to our clients is key.
We are YOUR Native Plant Garden Team.
From start of the garden consultation process, to conclusion of planting, your goals and requests are our priority.
Following every garden installation, clients receive a personalized video summary of the watering and maintenance needs for their specific garden. This added feature is always included in our installations.
"Kathy and David were extremely knowledgeable about the types of plants that would work best in our yard given the sun and shade in each particular section. They also listened carefully to our input in making their recommendations."
Jennifer Dignum, Menlo Park
"They prepared a very helpful video that contains instructions about how to care for the plants during their first year as they are becoming established. In addition to the video, they did a great job answering our numerous questions about the plants' properties and the planting process itself."
Matthew and Minx, Stanford

“Dare To Be Wild”
We continue to study nature so that we can effectively translate what we observe in nature into home garden environments.
We are active in abatement of invasive plant species that threaten native plants from growing.
We are proponents for wildlife by creating environments that offer food, shelter and habitat.
We benefit people and nature in designing connection portals to the earth.
