We've Gone Native Garden Projects

Redwood City Lush

Redwood City Lush

Home owner requested a full look with a mixture of evergreen and bright colors.

San Mateo buried boulder

San Mateo Buried Boulder

Homeowner requested a moderately spaced planting design with large featured stone to appear 'buried'

Foster City Tikes and Trikes

Homeowner requested a circular 'tricycle path' for the grandkids and a bench from which to supervise.

Wildlife Welcome Here!

Adding features such as water to a garden makes it that much more inviting to the local wildlife.

Corner Lot Wraparound

Homeowner requested the color blue and to be a unique presence in their neighborhood.  We chose a mixture of blue washed stone and driftwood to create the perfect coastal ambiance.

Downspout Diversion

Homeowner had a significant slope to their yard presenting some drainage and erosion problems from their rain gutter spout.  Whenever possible we like to use a natural-looking miniature creek to divert water when needed and to create a beautiful texture all year around.

Senses, Scenes, and Stories

Our Philosophy:

We believe in using California Native plants as a foreground in composing a garden that celebrates the natural beauty of this State.

However, the plants themselves can be a compositional partner in re-creating the wonderful experiences that are found in California.

We encourage every client, with even a small outside space, to allow themselves a chance to turn this into their 'dream space'.

No matter the scale, inviting wonder into the landscaping process is valuable and will serve the garden and the owner.
